Tearfund Quiz Night

On Saturday 19th November the church had a Tearfund Quiz evening and teasing rounds of questions and answers were thoroughly enjoyed by all the quizzing teams!

The evening, which included a video of Tearfund’s charity work, and much appreciated refreshments, was rounded off by a short talk given by Richard Pennington with the theme of ‘Hope’’ - Hope for the people helped by Tearfund but also for all who have invited Jesus Christ into their lives. Hope not just for the future but for living each day in a world which is lacking in hope for so many people.

The amount donated beforehand through the Just giving page and during the evening amounted to almost £300.
